As with multiselection (Pic.13) you can choose what
you want: change icons of all selected folders at a time or change icon
for current folder only.
Here you can also select the way of icon creation between
3 variants:
- independent & portable
- an icon is saved into folder itself, so you can copy a folder to another
computer or removable drive and this icon will always be available (it
is a default option and we strongly recommend to use it always);
- independent & non-portable
- an icon is saved into the special folder of the program, so it is
independent from the file-source where it is found, but it is lost when
you copy a folder to another computer or view via Network (if you don't
want your icon files to be created in folders you should select this
variant);
- source-dependent (by link) - an icon
is stayed in the file-source where it is found, so an icon is lost if
the file-source is removed and also as mentioned in the second variant
(in case if you want to set 1 icon for many folders and don't want to
create icon copies for each folder);
* If you have Windows'98 you should check a field
"Windows'98 compatible" (a folder will be made as system in this case).
If you press "Yes" button, an icon is changed
according to the selected variant.
Restore default icon
If you have changed your mind and decided
the folder icon to be standard, press "Restore Default"
button (Pic.18a).
If the folder icon hasn't been changed "Restore default" button
is unactive.
View original icon
If you want to see what the folder icon
is, press "Restore" button (Pic.1). The button becomes active
if you click any other icon in icon list (pic.8).
Clicked icon appeares on a folder image (Pic.1).
