Alt Launch Band - multiband alternative to Windows Quick Launch Toolbar with additional interesting features (formerly Super Panel).

* Since 11.11.2001, with addition of new original functionality and many new functions, project Super Panel has become a Alt Launch Band. Program Super Panel is not further supported.

With Alt Launch Band v2.0 you can:

• quick launch programs through a multiband configurable toolbar with ability to add shortcuts by "Drag&Drop" method;
  • menu bar allow you to organize fast access to frequently used applications, documents and folders, see screenshot >>>
  • you can drag shortcuts into bands of Alt Launch Band from desktop, from any folders in Windows explorer or from start menu, also you can manually add them with right mouse click on band, see screenshot >>>
  • you can customize how menu bands will look and work changing some parameters: showing caption of shortcuts, autohiding, using hot keys for call Alt Launch Band, blending (since Windows'2000), etc., see screenshot >>>
  • you can use 5 presets of bands, this allow you to limit access to shortcuts for different people or for different modes of work, see screenshot >>>
  • as a background of a toolbar you can use any picture, also you can change colors and fonts; screenshot >>>

• browse your files or folders using original Alternative Browser similar to Start menu, but with another principal of work;
  • if a shortcut is a folder, you can set an option to easy browse it using Alternative Browser,
  • Alternative Browser creates shortcuts for all files in the selected folder and puts them in separate popup,
  • if you have a lot of necessary for you files in one folder, Alternative Browser will be very convinient to access them;

• remember important information by setting colorful "sticky" notes on your desktop (you can make stickes transparent in Windows'2000);

• organize phones and other contact information in the multilevel phone book;

• in addition to main functions you can use modules, written another programmers (plugins). You can add plugin to Alt Launch Band in "Plugins" tab of "Options" window. In this distribution kit we include two of such plugins:
  • LB_Plugin0.dll - usual multitab toolbar, which turn Alt Launch Band into its ancester - Super Panel,
  • LB_Plugin1.dll - disk free space monitor.

   

All functions of Alt Launch Band very simple for use - just press right mouse click on anyone item, and in popup menu you found all functions, which you can use in present moment with selected item.
